How often will my therapist communicate with my doctor about my progress?
We will send a plan of care to your doctor after your first visit. Generally, a status report will be sent every three-four weeks by fax. If you are seeing your doctor for a return visit, tell your therapist so they can send a status report prior to your appointment.
Can I go to any physical therapy clinic once I have a referral?
Yes! It is your choice where you have therapy. Just bring your referral or have the doctor’s office fax it to us.
What sets TherapySouth apart from other physical therapy practices?
We are a small, private practice with eight locations in the Birmingham area. We treat each patient based on their individual needs. We use “hands on” treatment, which is vital for most patients to reach their full rehab potential.
Why should I go to a physical therapist?
Physical Therapists are highly trained experts in treating musculoskeletal dysfunction in the spine and extremities. If you have pain or loss of function, ask you doctor about physical therapy as a treatment option.
